Laminated glass consists of two or more glass layers bonded by a strong interlayer (PVB or SGP). When broken, the fragments stay attached to the interlayer instead of scattering, so the barrier stays intact.
Where is it used?
In glass roofs, railings, glass floors and high-level windows, and anywhere falling glass could pose a hazard. It also insulates sound and blocks most UV rays.
